Learn to manage your pup with confidence
Our unique team of experts provide key tips and guidance with a behavioural focus to help you understand how your puppy sees the world. We help guide you around common mistakes to avoid future behaviour issues developing. The online course is designed by our expert team and led by our accredited puppy trainer, Giulia Danielis:

"The benefits of starting the training journey at home where you and your pup feel comfortable, without distractions or the need for travel, means that training can slot into your life seamlessly. We give you and your pup skills for life, starting your pup on the right path to becoming a confident, well-balanced dog of the future." Giulia Danielis

Within each one hour session, Giulia helps to teach your pup a new practical life skill and provides a recap and progression on the previous week's lesson. We have Q&A sessions with guest experts where our experienced behaviourists and vets join the session to share their expertise to provide you with a wholistic understanding of your pup and how they see the world. Throughout the 6 week course, you'll also gain unique access to various resources including video tutorials, handouts and webinars. Each class will contain something calm and something exciting for your pup.

  • Flexible Learning → Watch and practice at your own pace, whether you’re an early riser or a night owl. Perfect for busy schedules! (assuming classes will be recorded? Although ideally we want them to be present for the session).
  • Real-Life Results → We focus on practical skills you’ll actually use - like settling at a café, walking nicely on a lead, and coming when called.
  • Expert Support at Your Fingertips → Learn from an accredited puppy trainer, plus get additional insights from a vet behaviourist and a clinical animal behaviourist - ensuring your puppy gets the best guidance from multiple experts.
  • Better Focus, Faster Learning → Your puppy can learn in a distraction-free space, without overwhelm, before practising in real-world situations, setting them up for success.
  • Join a Supportive Community → Connect with other puppy owners, share progress, ask questions, and get encouragement every step of the way.
  • We work on positive pre-emptive steps and preventative training to help guide your pup with their learning.
  • 'Pup to Pro' Practical Outcomes

    Over six sessions we cover:

    • Settle → So you can enjoy a meal or drink in a café or pub with friends without your puppy jumping up for attention. Or so you can focus on work without your puppy running madly around when working from home.
    • Recall → So you can let your puppy enjoy some freedom, knowing they will always come back when you call - whether at the park, on a hike, or in your garden.
    • Lead Walking → So you can enjoy relaxed, stress-free walks without feeling like your puppy is taking you for a walk - saving your arms, shoulders, and patience!
    • Alternatives to mouthing → So you can learn the best strategies to stop your puppy from using your hands, clothes, and furniture as chew toys - without accidentally making things worse.
    • Toilet Training → So you can keep accidents off your carpets and floors and confidently leave your puppy without worrying about unpleasant surprises.
    • Greeting without Jumping → So your puppy learns to greet people politely instead of launching at guests, making visitors feel welcome (instead of knocked over!).
    • Leave It & Drop It → So your puppy will drop whatever they shouldn’t have in their mouth (before they swallow it!) and leave tempting but dangerous items alone.
    • Socialisation → So your puppy grows into a confident, well-behaved dog who feels comfortable around people, other dogs, new places, and everyday experiences.
    • Being Left Alone → So your puppy can stay calm and relaxed when you step out, preventing separation anxiety and destructive behaviours.
    • Engagement & Play→ So you can channel your puppy’s energy into fun, structured activities that build a strong bond and prevent boredom-related mischief.

Throughout the course our expert team are on hand to advise on a variety of aspects including:

    • travel
    • grooming & handling to prepare you for upcoming vet visits and future adventures
    • being around children
    • happy with visitors
    • neutering
    • food
    • general care of your puppy as they grow.

Additional one-to-one training sessions are available if you want to continue to develop your and your pup's life skills.

    Our 'Pup to Pro' package
    • Each course is run over a 6 week block. We run multiple blocks within the year.
    • Classes are on a Wednesday at 6.15pm.
    • Maximum of 6 delegates/puppies per course.
    • Puppies should be no older than 25 weeks old (5 months).

    • Varied topics so your pup progresses gradually over the whole course. Each class will contain something calm and something exciting for your pup.
    • Each session will contain a variation of live classes, Q&A discussions and some pre-recorded aspects will be used. At the end of each week you will receive a recording of the session and access to helpful videos and handouts.
    • Sessions are recordable so you can rewatch and share them with your household so you are all working together in unison.
    • Delegates can also purchase discounted one-to-one training sessions with our trainer if there is an aspect of the training course with which additional help is needed.
    • If behavioural help is needed, discounted behavioural help is also available.
    What you will need

We will let you know of any prerequisites required for the next class, the week before. Anything we suggest as a prerequisite will also be something that we consider an essential piece of  kit and will be helpful to use again and again for your pup (and you!) beyond these classes.

Essential equipment you will need for your pup (and the course!):

    • Settle mat: this is a mat, blanket or towel which your pup will develop a strong and positive association with it so that it becomes a visual cue that can lead your pup to settle calmly - ideally you want this to be something lightweight, washable and that packs small so you can take it out and about with you.
    • Treats
    • Toys - the type will vary on what topics we cover each week
    • A food-filled rubber toy or lick mat, e.g. Kong or Lickimat.
    • Water bowl
    • Space: choose to set up for the class where you and your pup have space to move. The space available will vary for each group member - we’ll work with what space you have! You’ll need to be able to see your screen and we will need the camera on your phone/laptop to be on. Don’t be shy, we need to see what you are doing so we can help and feedback to you if and when required. Giulia will mute the class - just raise your arm if you want to ask a question.

If you don’t have a specific item listed or your pup decides it’s nap time when the class starts, don’t worry! Many alternative options can be used and even if you or your pup can’t take part in a single exercise you’ll still learn from your other members and their pups within the group!

Equipment required can be purchased in the DVBP Shop.

    Does online training really work?

Yes. The advantages are that your pup remains comfortable in their relaxed and familiar home environment where they feel safe. Being able to learn in a distraction-free space gives you and your pup the security and confidence before you practise in real-world situations - setting you both up for success. With better focus, your pup will learn faster.

Accessing the right help in your area is no longer a problem - being online means our sessions are available wherever you are and no matter the weather!

It also means no stressful journeys to and from your class. Plus the whole family can get involved!

Class is about to start and my pup has fallen asleep!

Your pup is learning so much every day and they need a lot of sleep! Don't worry if your pup decides it’s nap time when the class starts, we can still teach you! Many alternative options can be used and even if you or your pup can’t take part in a single exercise you’ll still learn by watching the other course members and their pups within the group!
